Meet Your Barista - Jonina

Hey everyone! My name is Jonina. I've been a barista at CaTP for a little over a year now and it truly feels like home. I was born and raised in the Denver area and I love being a part of the incredible Five Points community. I graduated from CU Boulder in December with degrees in journalism and ethnic studies and a minor in creative writing. After graduating I found that I was ready to pursue more creative and expressive endeavors. I spent some time in self-exploration, trying out different classes like drawing and embroidery and playing with different mediums. Eventually it came sort of naturally to me that I'd love to pursue a career in fashion--i've been passionate about it since I was young, and it allows me to combine my passion for creativity, body positivity and social justice all in one. I've spent the past few months teaching myself the basics of fashion photography, styling and sewing. I've made a few outfits for myself from scratch and hope to begin making custom items for other people soon. Below you can see the look I made for an event called ThriftCon where I vended my collection of vintage and thrifted goods. I'm hoping to be a vendor at the next ThriftCon event in December, so be on the lookout for that! I also recently joined the team at Judith & Joe Boutique on Blake Street. You should come stop by! We have women's and men's ethically and responsibly made clothing. I'm super happy to share a little about myself with you all! Feel free to check out some of my work on Instagram (@joninadiele) and reach out for any of your fashion or photography needs!
